Dr. Leif Lensgraf
For the last 25 years Dr. Leif Lensgraf, a chiropractic physician, has been treating patients putting smiles back on their faces. Hundreds of patients have given testimonials and praised the warm manner in which they have been treated, and the pain relief they have experienced from their care with Dr. Lensgraf, and those working for him.
Dr. Lensgraf is a 3 rd generation chiropractic physician, following his father and grandfather into the chiropractic profession. Dr. Lensgraf’s choice to become a chiropractic physician came about from watching his father bring health to patients and create relationships in the community as a doctor who cared.
He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the founding institute of chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and started practicing in Hammond, Louisiana with his father in 1993.
Dr. Lensgraf continued practicing in Louisiana primarily for 20 years building a large multidisciplinary clinic. While Dr. Lensgraf has family and friend roots in Louisiana and still has a busy multidisciplinary clinic there treating patients of the Hammond community, he has always had a yearning for the Pacific Northwest. He sent his children to Oregon for many years to attend summer camp. Each year with every trip to Oregon his determination grew to move the family and open a practice in Oregon.
In 2015, Dr. Lensgraf realized that dream and opened a practice in SE Portland. He now has 2 associate doctors on staff at this location and in 2018 he opened a second clinic in Oregon located in North Plains, west of Portland.
Besides his years of study commencing in his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Lensgraf also spent 2 years pursuing studies pertaining to patient rehabilitation through therapy and exercise which he has incorporated in each practice providing patients with relief of pain and a program to improve their lifestyle.
Dr. Lensgraf likes spending his time away from the office practicing photography, woodworking, any new computer gadget, and spending time with his family. He has spent a lifetime fishing and enjoying water sports in the Southeast Louisiana Lakes and the Gulf Coast, and now is excited to explore the
great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
Patients in Dr. Lensgraf’s care always feel like they can talk to him about health and social concerns. He has a true interest in his patients and people in the communities where he lives and works. It is not reciting his years of schooling and doctorate degree in front of patients – it’s connecting with the heart-beating people you are trying to help and communicate understanding back to them that is important.
Patients are loyal to physicians who truly communicate that they care and want to help. Dr. Lensgraf’s patients have shown their trust in him by referring their friends and family to him for chiropractic care over and over again throughout the years.
Dr. Derrick Lensgraf
Dr. Derrick Lensgraf is a chiropractic physician practicing at Associated Physicians in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Lensgraf, a 4th generation chiropractor of the Lensgraf family followed his great grandfather, grandfather, and father’s path graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, the founding institute of chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.
Dr. Lensgraf’s choice to become a chiropractor himself came from watching his father and grandfather help many people through their chiropractic practice.
This left an impression on him and during his high school years after considering other careers he decided to become a chiropractic physician. He seized the opportunity to improve the lives of patients and join his family’s chiropractic practice.
In 1952 the Lensgraf family started practicing in Louisiana and today still have a large multidoctor practice located there helping patients with chiropractic care. However, over the last 10 years they have expanded into the Portland, Oregon area and this is where Dr. Derrick Lensgraf began his path as a chiropractic physician.
After high school, he attended OSU and went on to study at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa and is now very happy to be back in Oregon making the area his home. Currently, he is focusing on continuing his education, learning techniques such as McKenzie, an internationally acclaimed method of assessment and treatment for spinal and extremity pain which is highly effective in treating patients. When he is not in the office or focusing on continuing education he enjoys tasting the diverse foods of Portland, reading, and learning digital art. With all the great views in Oregon he also likes to spend time outside taking photos.
Dr. Derrick Lensgraf is happy to be living and working in the Pacific Northwest. He is excited to meet the people of his community in the future and provide his chiropractic services. Improving the health of his patients is what he looks forward to every day he walks into the office.
Patients of Dr. Lensgraf are already speaking highly of the care they receive from him. One of his patients recently wrote, “I am pain free and out walking a mile and ¾’s a day. Doing good for a 72 year old nice lady”.
Dr. Aaron Amidei
Dr. Aaron Amidei is a chiropractic physician practicing at Associated Physicians in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from high school, he set his sights on becoming a chiropractor. He had seen friends and family members benefit from chiropractic care and thought being a chiropractic physician was a worthwhile choice. In fact, he felt almost like chiropractic was made for him!
His journey to earn his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic began with undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, and then it was on to Palmer College of Chiropractic, the founding institute of chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa. While there, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and was accepted into the doctorate program.
After completing the doctorate program and earning his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic he headed to Oregon where he had his sights on joining a chiropractic practice and living near long-time friends he made while in high school.
His purpose in choosing the chiropractic profession was to help people by reducing their pain and improving their functionality using chiropractic treatment and therapy. Currently, he is continuing that path by focusing on furthering his education, learning techniques such as McKenzie, an internationally acclaimed method of assessment and treatment for spinal and extremity pain which is highly effective in treating patients, and educating patients to be accountable for their own health by exercise and wise health choices.
The reviews by his patients are testimony that he is achieving his purpose. Many of his patients are saying that they are experiencing relief and returning to their regular activities of life after being treated for their injuries.
When not in the office or pursuing continuing education, Dr. Amidei enjoys many of the same things he grew up doing with his family. Things like camping, fishing, and taking drives through the mountains. Apart from the outdoors he likes working with technology and mechanical things. He especially enjoys the peace of mind an afternoon of working on his car brings him, and on a rainy Oregon day his favorite activity is simply relaxing with a good movie or book.
